Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Fixit. They govern your access to and use of our platform and services.

Important: By accessing or using Fixit's website, mobile application, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Fixit. By creating an account, making a booking, or otherwise using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and accept these Terms in full. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time — continued use constitutes acceptance.

2 Services Description

Fixit is an online platform that connects customers with verified, independent home service professionals. Our services include:

  • Plumbing — leak repairs, pipe installation, drain cleaning, emergency service
  • Electrical — wiring, repairs, installations, certified electricians
  • Cleaning — home and office deep cleaning services
  • Painting — interior and exterior painting by skilled professionals
  • Carpentry — furniture repair, door/window fixes, and woodwork
  • Pest Control — safe and effective treatment for insects and rodents
  • Home Renovation — remodeling, flooring, tiling, and complete makeovers

Fixit acts as a marketplace platform. Service professionals are independent contractors, not employees of Fixit.

3 User Accounts

To book services, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Not create multiple accounts or impersonate any person or entity

4 Booking & Payments

When you book a service through Fixit:

  • You will receive a booking confirmation with estimated pricing
  • Final pricing may vary based on actual work performed and materials required
  • Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed
  • We accept major credit/debit cards and UPI payments
  • All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes
Price Estimates: Quotes provided before service are estimates only. The final invoice reflects actual labour and materials used. You will be notified of any significant cost changes before work proceeds.

5 Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand plans change. Our cancellation policy:

✓ Free Cancellation

Cancel up to 2 hours before the scheduled appointment at no charge.

⚠ Late Cancellation

Cancellations within 2 hours of appointment may incur a ₹200 fee.

✗ No-Show

If a professional arrives and customer is unavailable, a ₹300 visit charge applies.

↩ Refunds

Contact us within 48 hours if unsatisfied. We may offer a redo or partial/full refund.

6 User Conduct

You agree not to use Fixit's platform to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent booking requests
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against service professionals
  • Attempt to book professionals off-platform to bypass fees
  • Post fake or malicious reviews
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with our platform
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our services

7 Service Professional Terms

Plumbing and home service professionals listed on Fixit agree to:

  • Maintain valid licenses, certifications, and insurance as required by law
  • Provide services in a safe, professional, and workmanlike manner
  • Arrive on time or notify customers of delays promptly
  • Not solicit customers for off-platform bookings
  • Comply with all Fixit quality and safety standards

8 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Fixit's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in dispute
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We do not guarantee the quality of work performed by independent professionals
  • We are not responsible for property damage caused by service professionals (though we will assist in dispute resolution)

9 Intellectual Property

All content on the Fixit platform — including the logo, design, text, graphics, software, and data — is the exclusive property of Fixit or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.

10 Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between a customer and a service professional:

  • Contact our support team at support@fixit.com within 48 hours of service completion
  • Provide photos, descriptions, and any relevant documentation
  • Fixit will review and respond within 5 business days
  • We will mediate in good faith but our decisions are not legally binding arbitration

11 Termination

Fixit reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive behaviour, actions that harm other users or Fixit's reputation, or non-payment of outstanding dues. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@fixit.com — outstanding bookings must be settled first.

12 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
